LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department in Kasur district is looking very vigilant in action against token tax defaulters and unregistered vehicles in the district.
According to Excise and Taxation Officer Malik Muhammad Aslam, performance of the department has increased and has created a new milestone in the departmental history. According to Malik Muhammad Aslam, the department has impended 1,800 vehicles in two months while more than 3,000 were checked and their documents were seized on token tax default.
The Kasur Excise Department, in the first five months of the fiscal year 2015-16, recovered a big amount of Rs 2.4 billion in the wake of token tax, motor registration tax, professional tax and property tax which is new history.
