ISLAMABAD: Customs staff deputed at Islamabad Dry Port will celebrate Eid happily because the port has surpassed its annually revenue target and collected extra amount of Rs 92 million under the head of customs duty (CD) during the 11 months and 20 days (from July 1 to June 20) of the current financial year.
Talking to Customs Today Assistant Collector Amanat Khan said, “I am extending my wishes to the staff members and hope that they will continue to work with same zeal and spirit and will uphold the flag of Pakistan.”
The assistant collector extended his heartfelt Eid greetings to all the staff of the Customs Collectorate, especially to the staff of the Islamabad Dry Port, anti smuggling squad and Islamabad International Airport staff who are performing their duties during Eid holidays.
While talking to Customs Today, he said, “On this Eid, our celebrations reached on peak because the dry port Islamabad has achieved its yearly target of revenue collection under head of customs duty (CD).”
The assistant collector said that he will celebrate his Eid in Peshawar, adding that Eid gives us a message to take care one another and Eid provide a great opportunity to the people to meet with their loves ones. “Eid also provide us a chance to help the needy people who deserve our support,” he said.
Talking about the performance of Islamabad Dry Port (IDP) he said that now staff of IDP will celebrate their Eid happily because IDP had surpassed its annually revenue target with excel amount of Rs.92.00 million under head of customs duty (CD) during 11 months and 20 (July 1 to June 20) of current financial year (FY) 2016-17. IDP earned Rs.3501 million against the assigned target of Rs.3405 million for FY16-17 under head of customs duty (CD).
