AMSTERDAM: Dutch manufacturing activity expanded for the 25th straight month in July, and output grew at the fastest rate in 19 months, index provider Markit said on Monday.
The seasonally adjusted NEVI Purchasing Managers’ Index, designed to give a snapshot of the manufacturing sector’s performance, slipped to 56.0 from June’s one-and-a-half year high of 56.2.
Markit that demand conditions were robust. New work from abroad grew at the fastest rate in 19 months, helped by the weaker euro.
