DUBAI: The Dubai Criminal Court looked into the case of two visitors from the Gulf accused of possessing narcotic substances for trafficking purposes. According to case details, the General Directorate of the Drug Control Department received information that the first defendant was abusing and possessing narcotic substances, and that he was a member of an international gang. After search and investigations, the Drug Control members headed to Al Jafiliya area, behind the Jaffiliya Metro Station, where the first defendant was found in his car, waiting for another person to deliver a large quantity of drugs.
The suspects were arrested upon arrival of the second defendant. When the first defendant’s car trunk was inspected, a suitcase was found with black plastic bags containing 190 kilogrammes of the Captagon drug. The first defendant received the narcotics from an unknown person in Abu Hail area in Dubai, someone from the same nationality, nicknamed (Abu Suleiman). The first defendant was supposed to deliver a quantity of drugs to the second defendant, and a sample of the same drug, to a third person.
