DUBAI: Customs has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority to exchange expertise and achieve optimal results in regards to customer service provision.
In line with the parties’ keenness to implement the electronic link in order to effectively enhance and promote their strategic partnership, and constantly develop it to meet the requirements of all segments of the community, they have signed the memorandum, which shall be reflected on the economic and social development of the UAE.
H.E. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Executive Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and Director General of Dubai Customs, and H.E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General – Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, have signed the memorandum on the premises of Dubai Customs, in the presence of many directors and officials from both sides.
This memorandum aims to identify the best solutions to simplify and facilitate procedures for customers; exchange management and cognitive expertise and practices; provide advice, analyze and assess the effects of security and community protection, as well as coordinate and collaborate in establishing stipulated control procedures to handle the prohibited goods and materials.
