ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Dr Mohammad Irshad has called upon the office-bearers and members of FBR Foundation to expedite establishment of regional offices of FBR Foundation and also step up membership drive to ensure that the employees of the FBR get maximum benefits from the Foundation as early as possible.
The FBR chairman made this statement during a meeting of the FBR Foundation held Wednesday.
FBR Foundation CEO Mohammad Saleem Ahmed Ranjha, Member Administration Mr Majid Qureshi, Member (IR) Operation Rehmatullah Wazir, Member Legal Hafiz Mohammad Ali Indhar, Chief Collector Sarwat Habib Tahira, Chief Reforms Rizwana Siddique, Chief Customs Asif Saeed Khan, Chief Fate Tehmina Aamer, FBR Foundation Secretary Sakhawat Gul, representative of CAAD Ramzan and Najeebur Rehman Abbasi and others were also present.
Earlier, Chief Reforms Rizwana Siddique briefed the participants of the meeting on the progress made by FBR Foundation. She told the meeting that CEO Saleem Ranjha had already taken oath, FBR Foundation’s website had been launched while the membership drive was in full swing.
Similarly, a letter had also been sent to the CDA chairman for acquisition of land for the FBR Foundation. Bank account and cheque book in respect of the Foundation had also been issued, she added.
Rizwana further briefed the meeting that focal persons of the Foundation in all field formations had also been established while a full-time secretary welfare had also been appointed to assist in activities relating to the FBR Foundation.
Meanwhile, an office of FBR Foundation has been inaugurated by FBRF Chairman in Quetta Customs Collectorate while all field offices have been directed to allocate space for local offices of the FBR Foundation, similar to Quetta MCC. The organogram and logo of FBR Foundation would be finalised in the next meeting.
