District council approves budget of Rs1330.725m

KHAIRPUR: Chairman District Council Khairpur Shaharyar Khan Wassan on Thursday presented budget of Rs 1330.72538 million for fiscal the year 2017-18 during a meeting of council at Sachal Auditorium here.

The budget was approved unanimously, said a statement.  Wasan declared expenses as including Rs 1389.73383 million for salaries, Rs 38.939931 million for pension, Rs. 89.960000 million for routine work, Rs 2 million for scholarship, Rs 12.5 million for social welfare grant, Rs 152.825 million for payment of arrears, Rs 15 million for disaster managements, Rs 1.2 million for charges expenses, Rs 859 million for development scheme. The meeting declared total expenses of Rs 1330.423314 million.

Addressing the meeting he informed that Rs 12.20 million for Chairman branch, Rs 29 million for chief officer branch, Rs 9.3 million for account branch, Rs 28.65 million for engineering branch, Rs. 0.67 million for tax branch, Rs 11.6 million for council branch, Rs. 3 million for TA/DA of members, Rs 6.55 million for health department, Rs. 2 million for minority, Rs. 15 million for emergency fund,  Rs. 10 million for flower nursery,  Rs. 1 million grant for press club Khairpur, Rs. 2 million for the uniform of lower staff, Rs.  4 million for medical bills, Rs. 2.5 million for insurance policies, Rs. 30 million for the constructions of walls on grave yards, mosques, Imam Bargahs, Eid Gahs in district, Rs. 30 million for RO/water plants, Rs. 20 million for water supply schemes, Rs. 40 million for water tanks and under ground tanks, Rs. 50 million for solar light system, Rs. 30 million for construction of roads, Rs. 20 million for drainage schemes, Rs. 20 million for play grounds and parks, Rs. 30 million for women development and handy craft centers, Rs. 10 million for sewing machines, Rs 1 million for sports clubs, Rs. 50 million for cement pure, Rs. 15 million for bricks pure, Rs. 10 million for the construction of schools while Rs. 5 million for library.  The Chairman also announced Hajj scheme for district council staff for which he said Rs. 2.5 million have been allocated.  He said that no any tax has been imposed. Wassan said that committees would be formed to monitor the development schemes.  Deputy Commissioner Khairpur Muhammad Nawaz Sohu, SSP Ghulam Azfar Mahesar and members of district council including Munawar Wasan, Yousaf Jalbani, Abdul Rasul Shar, Shah Nawaz Saheto, Latif Dharejo, Benazir Abro and others were present during the budget meeting.
