KARACHI: Dr Owais Agha Jawwad, the Director General (DG) of the Directorate General of Internal Audit-Customs, has written to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in connection with the audit paras sent by the directorate concerned to different field formation collectorates.
According to details, the DG has written a letter after the field formation collectorates showed lethargy in submitting the replies of para-wise comments.
The sources informed Customs Today that the Directorate General of Internal Audit-Customs has sent audit-paras regarding short recovery of millions of rupees in imported consignments of steel, auto-parts, electronic items, cosmetics and others to the field formation collectorates i.e. Customs Appraisement-East, Customs Appraisement-West and Customs Port Muhammad Bin Qasim. However, the collectorates did not submit replies as yet.
