BEIJING: China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said on Sunday that Toyota Motor China would recall 1,880 imported Lexus vehicles from the country from next month because of fuel leakage risks, reported China’s official news agency Xinhua quoting company’s statement.
The vehicles being recalled include Lexus models manufactured between July 3, 2007 and July 12, 2010. Defects in the engine oil pipeline of the recalled cars may cause fuel leakages. Toyota has offered to replace the pipeline gasket to eliminate the safety risks.
