LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal’s Division Bench-II, comprising Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Member Technical Imran Tariq, heard 10 cases and adjourned all of them until the next hearing.
The cases postponed include Muhammad Ashraf Versus Customs Faisalabad, Al-Hamra Fabrics Versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, A. Z Apparel 02 appeals Versus Customs Faisalabad, Raja Muhammad Razzaq Versus Customs Sambrial, Customs Lahore Versus Abdul Hassan, and Hamza Traders Versus Customs Lahore.
On Wednesday, the tribunal heard cases of Muhammad Ramzan Afzal Versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, Hajvery Traders Versus Customs Lahore, Customs Faisalabad Versus Muhammad Amin and Inam Traders Versus Customs Lahore.
In all the cases, the representatives of the appellants and respondents appeared before the court and argued in favour of their respective parties. After hearing the arguments from the parties, the Customs Appellate Tribunal reserved the verdict in few cases of Lahore and adjourned all the other cases until the next date of hearing.
In few cases, the case filed by the departments against the adjudication decision and in other cases the private parties challenged the order of the adjudication on some specific grounds.
The Customs Appellate Tribunal will decide the case after hearing the arguments from both parties.
