KARACHI: In a prompt action, a team of Customs Preventive has successfully recovered 1 kilogram heroin from the possession of two passengers at Karachi airport. The market value of the drug in international market is Rs 10 million.
According to details, in pursuance of a tip-off, the staff of the Pakistan Customs Preventive intercepted two suspects for search and demanded travel documents from them for verification.
During the search, the officers found suspicious material in bags of the passengers. The passengers were taken to the customs area where a complete search was carried out.
The officers found heroin from the luggage of the passengers named Imran and Majid. Both the passengers were travelling to Colombo through flight Air Lanka No. 1184. The source informed Customs Today that the passengers had cleverly concealed heroin in the bottom pipes of the bags.
