KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed minor penalties on 22 officials of the Pakistan Customs, presently posted at the Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar, after negligence and allegations of corruption were proved against them.
Secretary Mgt Customs-III Qasim Khan Khattak imposed various penalties on the officials of BS-16 for their negligence during the course of professional duties.
The officials, who have been imposed upon penalties, included Superintendent Customs Peshawar Musa Khan, Superintendent Fazle Subhan, Deputy Superintendent Syed Ishaq. Deputy Superintendent Noorul Amin, Malik Aman, Zulfikar Khan Sikandari and Dilawar Khan.
The inspectors included Inamullah Khan, Amir Ghazil, Asmat Kamal, Farid Khan, Muhammad Zaman, Mazhar Ali, Saeed Khan, Hawas Khan, Muzaffar Khan, Abdul Wahid, Mian Imtiaz Ali Shah and Muhammad Zia Khan while Khalid Sadiq Marwat, an Examiner of Customs Peshawar.
According to sources, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against them under Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 for various acts of omission and commission on their part. And, the authorized officer, therefore, imposed minor penalties under Rule 4(1)(a)(ii) of the Govt Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973.
