PESHAWAR: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar has collected Rs11767.55million revenue under the head of all major taxes up to December of current Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 against Rs9195.75million done by December of previous FY2016-17 with 27.97 percent increase in the collection which added an amount of Rs2571.80million to the exchequer of Customs House Peshawar.
This was stated by Collector Customs Gull Rahman while talking to Customs Today exclusively on Wednesday at Peshawar.
The Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar has collected Rs4605.74million of Customs Duty Up to December in the current Financial Year 2017-18 against Rs3472.92million generated by December in previous Fiscal Year 2016-17.
The MCC Peshawar recorded a growth of Rs1132.82million in the present FY2017-18 with the rise of 32.62 percent growth with respect to the collection of Customs Duty up to December of previous FY 2016-17.
In the same way, the MCC Peshawar posted 24.68 percent achievement in the collection of Sales Tax on imports by December of current FY 2017-18 and has collected Rs2628.68million against Rs2108.41million generated as Sales Tax on imports during previous FY2016-17 with an increase of Rs520.27 million.
The MCC Peshawar showed a growth of Rs55.57percent in the collection of Sales Tax levied as FED vat (palm oil) up to December of current FY 2017-18 against Rs778.68million received up to December in previous FY2016-17 with Rs432.73million extra collection of revenue.
The MCC Peshawar in the same way collected Rs116.43million as Federal Excise Duty by December of current FY 2017-18 against Rs84.15million of FED done during previous FY2016-17 with 38.36 percent increase added to Rs32.28million revenue under the head of FED on imports during current FY.
The MCC Peshawar in the same way has showed a growth of 10.91 percent in the collection of Withholding Tax up to December in the current FY20171-8 against Rs2372.57million done by December in previous FY2016-17 by collecting Rs258.96million extra revenue under the head of WHT.
