Customs North Region earns Rs284m during 1Q

ISLAMABAD: The Customs North Region earned Rs284 million extra revenue under all heads during 1st quarter of Fiscal Year 2018-19.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs North Region which comprises (Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot and Gilgit Baltistan) earned total Rs9463.53 million during 1st quarter (July to September) of current Financial Year 2018-19.

Sources told that during 1Q, the North Region received Rs2860.89 million under head of customs duty (CD) while the Region received Rs2776.27 million during previous Fiscal Year.

Sources told that North Region received Rs4043.19 million under head of sales tax (ST) during current first quarter while it received Rs3959.97 million under same head during the same period of correspondence year.

Sources further told that the North region received Rs247.36 million under head of federal excise duty (FED) during 1st quarter of Fiscal Year 2018-19 while it received Rs245.27 million under the same head of Fiscal Year 2017-18 .

Sources informed Customs Today that during 1st quarter the North region received Rs2312.09 million under head of Income Tax (IT) against revenue collection of Rs.2197.26 million under same head during same correspondence period.
