COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Customs officials have arrested two Sri Lankan nationals at the Katunayake Airport early this morning for attempting to illegally bring a stock of cigarettes worth Rs. 3 million into the country from Qatar. The suspects, 36 and 28 years of age, are two businessmen residing in Colombo, Custom Officials said. They have arrived in two separate Qatar Airways flights from Doha. The cigarettes worth Rs. 3 million had been packed in 300 cartons. The contraband has been confiscated and the suspects would be fined, the Custom Officials said.
