LAHORE: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Thursday seized non-duty paid tyres loaded in two trucks worth Rs 4.5million, sources said.
The sources said that the tyres were to be supplied to parties in Sargodha and loaded from a godown located in Lahore. The trucks were intercepted by customs authorities at Band Raod and tyres were confiscated as no legal documents could be produced against the consignment.
They added that both the trucks were loaded with 90 tyrse of large size and the value of each tyres was Rs 50,000.
Under the supervision of Superintendent Malik Yasin, the team comprising Inspector Zulfiqar and sepoys impounded the trucks laden with tyres.
