LAHORE: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has impounded non-customs paid vehicles, including Hino dumpers working on Orange Line Train Project worth Rs 20 million.
The Customs officials impounded two Hino dumpers bearing Registration Nos. LES-3369 and IDT-3041 from Raiwind Road. The trucks were recovered from the possession of drivers namely Muhammad Naveed and Ghulam Mustafa.
Similarly, the officials impounded a BMW car bearing Registration No. BEC-702 during a crackdown near Shahdara. The BMW was being used by Zaman, a resident of Cantt.
In another raid, the Customs Intelligence detained a Land Cruiser number AB-7095 with new model body used by a person named Nosher, a resident of Raiwind. Similarly, a vehicle Mark-X was impounded near Allama Iqbal Town.
The vehicles were seized on the information of Director Imran Saud under the supervision of Additional Director Usman Bajwa, while Superintendent Muhammad Rauf and Malik Mobeen were also the part of the operations.
