ISLAMABAD: The Directorate Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Federal Board of Revenue Rawalpindi, has impounded worth Rs41.34million five non-duty paid vehicles under Section 16 of the Customs Act-1969 during the month of January 2017. These are most expensive vehicles in the market. Director General Customs I&I Shaukat Ali has lauded the performance of the Rawalpindi Directorate.
Rawalpindi Customs Anti-smuggling staff has caught five vehicles from different areas of Rawalpindi. The vehicles impounded are Toyota Land Cruiser ZX V8 CIF valued Rs19.25million and duty and tax evaded from the total price of the vehicle is Rs.13.97million, Mercedes Benz car CIF valued Rs6.24million and duty and tax evaded is Rs.3.46, Honda Civic car valued Rs3.37 and duty and tax evaded is Rs.1.73million, Toyota Corolla CIF valued Rs2.91million and duty and tax evaded is Rs1.49million and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado TZ valued Rs9.56million and duty and tax evaded is Rs6.93million.
