ISLAMABAD: The Export Section of the MCC Islamabad showed +37.50% growth during 2nd Quarter FY17-18 against the entire last two corresponding Financial Years.
According to details explained by the official sources of the Customs Export Section of the Model Customs Islamabad that, during 2nd Quarter (October to December) FY17-18, the Export Section filed 17,727 Goods Declarations in value of Rs18454million.
The sources told CT that the Exports Section filed 29,460 GDs in value of Rs27071million in the whole FY16-17 while it filed 25,768 GDs in value of Rs22750million during the whole FY15-16.
It was mentioned that, during 2nd Q of FY17-18, the Expor Section posted +37.50% achievement in 2nd Q compared to previous FY16-17 while it displayed +19% growth during FY16-17 against the previous FY15-16.
The sources told CT that, during corresponding period, the major rebateable exports were considered as surgical items, sports goods, textile garments, leather garments and pharmaceuticals. The major non-rebateable items were fresh halal meat, vegetables, fresh fruits, oil seeds and items made of brass.
