KARACHI: The associations of Pakistan Customs employees including examiners association and appraisers association have decided to meet Chief Collector-Appraisement-South Nasir Masroor Ahmed in upcoming days to inform him about their grievances.
The office-bearers of both the employees’ association including General Secretary Appraisers Association, Shafiullah Awan, General Secretary Examiners Association, Anwar Zaib, President Appraisers Association, Raja Wasim, President Examiners’ Association, Chaudhry Asghar and others have recently held a meeting at Custom House, Karachi in which they decided to raise the issues pertaining to the termination, suspension and inclusion of examiners names in FIR/challan registered by the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence & Investigation-FBR.
It is learnt here that the employees’ associations have also finalized a delegation to meet with the Chief Collector-Appraisement-South Nasir Masroor Ahmed for the redressal of their issues.
The delegation of appraisers and examining officers’ associations may comprise Shafiullah Awan, Raja Wasim, Chaudhry Asghar and Anwar Zaib.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in recent days has terminated and suspended almost 10 of the customs officials including appraisers and examiners from the different collectorates including Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East, Appraisement-West, Preventive and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim in the pretext of their alleged involvement in unlawful activities.
