MULTAN: The Special Judge of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants of accused nominated in the smuggling of Q-mobile seized by Multan Customs authorities.
According to details Special Judge Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Court issued non-bailable warrants of absconding suspects Zeeshan Akhtar son of Mian Pervaz Akhtar Chief Executive Officer who is resident of House 106 Khayabaan Sehar Phase VI DHA Karachi. Accused was booked for attempting to smuggle Q-Mobile phones and other goods in the garb of LED lights.
Multan Customs Investigation and Prosecution branch has completed interrogations in the smuggling of huge quantity of Q-Mobile and they have evaded huge amount of taxes through smuggling. Through the hearing, Customs Investigation Officer Saleem Afzal appeared before the Customs Court and informed that the suspects have not attended any interrogations and Multan Customs have also forwarded notices to accuse for joining interrogation.
Multan Customs informed Customs Court that accused is involved in several other tax evasion cases of Q-Mobile and he has been declared absconder after his continuous absence in the interrogation and hearing.
Customs Court Judge issued non-bailable arrest warrant of suspect Muhammad Zeeshan Akhtar and directed Multan Customs to arrest accuse as early as possible and produce him before the Customs court for further hearing of case.
Customs Special Court was adjourned for 12th February and court has issued arrest warrant of Zeeshan Akhtar in the case no.7/17 registered by Multan Customs House against him under the charge of smuggling. Further hearing of the said case adjourned till 12th February.
