LAHORE: The special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling imposed a cash penalty of Rs200,000 to the accused arrested in smuggling of electronics goods from Afghanistan to Lahore.
According to details available to Customs Today accused Khalil Dad , Muhammad Anwar and their counterparts were involved in smuggling of different items of electronics. After judicial trial of the accused customs judge Tahir Sabir imposed a cash penalty and imprisonment in his verdict.
The Special Federal Court ordered them to submit Rs200,000 and award punishment till the rising of the court. He was arrested while trying to smuggle electronic goods with the help of his counterparts. He was arrested from Band Road Shera Kot area of Lahore.
Customs Investigation and Prosecution (I&P) team presented the complete investigation challan of the case.
