LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has sentenced accused Mohammad Nawaz to one month jail and also imposed penalty of Rs5 million who is involved in smuggling of foreign currency from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia.
According to details special judge of customs court Khaqan Babar on Tuesday sentenced an accused currency smuggling case and announced jail imprisonment of one month. Customs court also imposed a penalty of Rs 0.5 million on the accused Muhammad Nawaz.
The accused was arrested while making attempt to smuggle currency of Rs 6.5 million to Saudi Arabia from Multan airport.
The Customs investigation and prosecution team of Lahore has submitted complete challan of the case in the court where Muhammad Nawaz found guilty under the witnesses and proofs against the accused. After completion of trial, court sentenced his punishment in smuggling.
