LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved the judicial remand of an accused who is found involved in a case of duty evasion.
Sources told Customs Today that accused Mushtaq Hussain son of Khadim Hussain was arrested by the Model Customs collectorate Faisalabad. He was allegedly involved in tax evasion in importing of different items from China on forged documents and through mis-declaration.
Before Eidul Fitr the Customs Court had approved his physical remand for five days for investigations. Now the Court has sent him to jail for fourteen days on judicial remand. Accused Mushtaq Hussain is a resident of Tehsil Raja Jhang of Faisalabad and was arrested by the Customs authorities on alleged tax evasion.
