ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Customs Collectorate is showing exemplary performance during the current fiscal year 2018.
The Collectorate has collected total revenue of Rs17,847.5 million in the head of duties and taxes during last ten months of the current fiscal year 18.
While talking to Customs Today, Additional Collector Mohammad Ashfaq has said that the set target for total taxes was Rs11,938.58 million for 10 months; however, under the supervision of Collector, Model Customs Collectorate Ch Zulfikar Ali and with the efforts of team the Collectorate collected revenue of Rs17,847.49 million, and surpassed the set target assigned by FBR with 149.49%.
Mohammad Ashfaq added that the Rs5086.75 million target was assigned under the head of Customs Duty and the MCC Islamabad has collected as 6048.79 million having 119%. MCC Islamabad has collected Rs8,247.44 million against the set target of Rs4094.61 million in terms of sales tax (ST) which is 201.42% of the set target.
Additional Collector added that MCC collected Rs2,983.45 million with 129% against Rs2,317.77 million under the head of Withholding tax (WHT). While in terms of federal excise duty (FED), MCC has collected Rs567.81 million against the set target of Rs439.45 million showing 129% increase.
Additional Collector Ashfaq also showed enthusiasm that Customs Collectorate will keep its proficiency to achieve its further targets for the revenue collection.
