LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs20564 million under the head of customs duty during the first six month of current financial year 2016-17 (July-December) by registering 1 percent growth against the collection target of Rs20392 million during the above period.
As per details the Customs Appraisement collected Rs11888 million during the first six months against the assigned target of Rs11678 million during the period under review.
Similarly, Customs Preventive collected Rs3838 million under the head of customs duty during the first six months of financial year 2015-16 against the assigned target Rs4171 million during the period.
The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs3479 million during the period under review against the target Rs3854 million for the period.
In the same way, the Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs1357 million during the six month of financial against the target Rs698 million during the period.
Overall the Central Region collected total customs duty from all the four collectrates worth Rs20564 million against the assigned target of Rs20392 million during the above period.
Sources said that Chief Collector of Customs Samaira Nazir has instructed all the collectors of the four collectorates to work hard to achieve the targets given by the FBR and also motivate the subordinates to use all available resources to gather as much revenue as they can do to achieve the revenue collection target.
