LAHORE: The Customs Central Region has collected Rs 14,218 million duty and taxes during the month of November and registered 6 percent growth.
As per details, the Customs Appraisement collected Rs 6,155 million during the month of November against the target of Rs 6,109 million.
Similarly, Customs Preventive collected Rs 2,642 million taxes and duties during the month of November 2016 against the target of Rs 2,745 million. The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs 4,031 million during the period under review against the target of Rs 3,735 million.
In the same way, the collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs 1,389 million during the month of November against the target of Rs 846 million.
Overall the Central Region collected taxes and duties from all the four Collectrates worth Rs 14,218 million by registering a growth of six percent against target of Rs 13,435 million.
Sources said that Chief Collector of Customs Samaira Nazir has instructed the customs officials to put all-out energies to achieve the target for the financial year and bring out good results. Sources said that the chief collector is optimistic that due to comprehensive strategy for collection of outstanding amounts, the customs will definitely achieve revenue collection target of fiscal year 2016-17.
