LAHORE: The Customs Central Region has collected Rs 1,670 million customs duty during the first 20 days of September.
As per details, the Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs 877 million under the head of customs duty while Collectorate of Customs Preventive collected Rs 411 million during the period under review. On the other hand, the Customs Collectorate of Multan collected Rs 241 million customs duty during first 20 days of September.
In the same way, the Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs 55 million customs duty during the same period. Overall, the Customs Central Region collected Rs 1,670 million under the head of customs duty from all the four collectorates.
Sources told Customs Today that the Customs Central Region has already adopted a comprehensive strategy to recover outstanding amount from defaulters to achieve revenue collection target of the current month.
