PESHAWAR: The Bonded Warehouse of the Customs House Peshawar has collected Rs1227.08million revenue under the head of all duties in November Financial Year FY2017-18, sources informed Customs Today on Thursday at Peshawar.
The duty collection of Bonded Warehouse has improved by numbers of good margin during the current Fiscal Year and has showed an increase of Rs304million in current year’s collections.
Up to November, an amount of Rs610.13million has been generated as Sales Tax on palm oil and Rs30.38million done by the collection of Sales Tax during the current month of November.
The Customs Bonded Warehouse Peshawar received Rs82.36million withholding taxes, and around sum of Rs45.70million revenue has been done as Federal Excise duty.
The sources further said that, due to strict rules applied by Collector Customs Gul Rahman, all associated customs stations and auction cells have led the Bonded Warehouse to join the run for showing more collection than previous FY’s.
The sources added that new bonds were sold and, for introduction of new bonds, a strict law of interest was applied in order to benefit the national exchequer.
