KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate Appraisement West has collected Rs 32,009 million under the head of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and the federal excise duty during December 2016.
Official sources told Customs Today that the Appraisement West collected a total of Rs 32,009 million, including Rs 14,436 million customs duty, Rs 12,441 million sales tax, Rs 4,968 million income tax and Rs 164 million federal excise duty. The collectorate collected Rs 3,669 million on the last working day i.e. December 31, 2016 that included Rs 1,402 million custom duty, Rs 1,566 million sales tax, Rs 697 million income tax and Rs 4 million federal excise duty.
So far, the Appraisement West has collected a total of Rs 149,188 million duties and taxes from July 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 which included Rs 60,444 million customs duty, Rs 62,329 million sales tax, Rs 25,453 million income tax and Rs 961 million federal excise duty.
The sources said Collector Appraisement West Dr Fareed Iqbal Qureshi felicitated the staff for achieving the revenue target and emphasized for continuing with the same spirit in the future as well.
