LAHORE: Collectorte of Customs Appraisement has collected Rs 23,863 million revenue including all duty and taxes by registering a growth of 6 percent during July to November 2016-17.
As per details , the collectorate, under the supervision of Collector Customs Appraisement Muhammad Sadiq, collected Rs 9,124 million by registering a growth of 6 percent as compared to the last financial year.
It collected Rs 13,280 million as sales tax, registering an increase of 2 percent and Rs 2,850 million withholding tax, showing an increase of 4 percent as compared to the last year’s collections during the period.
The collectorate also collected Rs 45 million federal excise duty from July to November against the collection of Rs 92 million during the same period of the last financial year.
Over all, the collectorrate collected Rs 23,863 million during the first five months of the financial year 2016-17 and registered a growth of 6 percent during the period under review.
The collectorate collected all the revenue from dry port including Mughalpura Dry Port, Thokar Niaz Baig, Prem Nagar and Railway Station.
Sources said that collector of Customs Appraisement Muhammad Sadiq has issued strict instructions to all the additional and deputy collectors to put their maximum efforts to collect as much revenue s they can do to achieve the financial year target.
