ISLAMABAD: A single bench of the Customs Appellate Tribunal comprising Member Technical, Muhammad Nasir Khan, reserved a decision on M/s Yarkan International and dated in office the hearing of other cases during fourth week of April.
Member Technical, Muhammad Nasir Khan, had finalized the hearing on M/s Yarkan International case. The bench had heard the case for several times and reserved decision as the parties submitted their replies before the tribunal on the last date of hearing.
M/s Yarkan International had challenged a decision announced by Customs Collectorate regarding seizure of the imported good.
The bench also dated in office proceedings on couple of customs cases filed by M/s Pakistan Royal Group and M/s Charisma Catering Islamabad.
Customs Appellate Tribunal’s Single Bench comprising of Member Technical, Muhammad Nasir Khan heard the cases. The bench heard initial arguments by parties and adjourned hearing for next week. M/s Pakistan Royal Group and M/s Charisma Catering Islamabad had filed these cases. The appellants had filed cases challenging announcements made by the DGI&I, Islamabad.
M/s Pakistan Royal Group and M/s Charisma Catering Islamabad had asked the tribunal to direct the department to release the imported items which were confiscated by the customs authorities under alleged attempts to smuggling.
