Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 43 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal (single and double) bench on Tusday heard 43 cases and adjourned all for different dates without those cases whose verdicts were reserved. The verdicts of five appeals were reserved to pass the final order very soon.

The division bench-II, comprising chairman Justice ® Malik Manzoor Hussain, and Saud Imran Member Technical, heard 17 cases including Pak Tractors versus Collector Customs Lahore, Diamond Fabrics versus Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Karachi, SAF PVC versus Collector Customs Lahore, Pak Afghan Clearing Agent versus collector customs Lahore, Ishtiaq Traders versus Collector Customs Lahore, Mehar Muhammad Ishtiaq versus Collector Customs Lahore, Usman Traders versus Collector Customs Lahore.

The same bench heard appeals of Umer & Company versus Collector Customs Lahore, Afzal International versus Collector Customs Lahore, Hab Traders versus Collector Customs Lahore, Maqsood & Brothers Collector Customs Lahore, International Imran Yousaf versus Collector Customs Lahore, Pepsi Cola International versus Collector Customs Lahore, Ahmed Hassan versus Collector Customs Lahore and Rashid Khan & Naveed versus Collector Customs Lahore.

Special division bench-II comprising member judicial Omer Arshed Hakeem and member technical Saud Imran Ahmed heard 14 cases including Atta Bukhish Textiles versus customs Lahore Maple Leaf Cement versus Customs Faisalabad, three appeals of Fatima Fertilizers versus directorate Post Clearance Audit Lahore, Muhammad Jaffer versus Customs Multan, Jahanzeb versus Customs Faisalabad, Collector Customs Faisalabad versus Muhammad Naseer, Collector Customs Lahore versus Punjab Impex, Qadir Shah versus Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Lahore and Sardar Ali versus Customs Faisalabad.

Muhammad Shabbir Gujjar, member Judicial heard two appeals of Jumma Khan versus Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Multan and Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Lahore.
