ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Customs Appellate Tribunal Bench-II on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of five tax references, involving Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation (DGI&I) and Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad.
The bench comprising Members Technical Muhammad Maqsoodul Hassan and Muhammad Nasir Khan heard the cases and adjourned the hearing until March 22.
M/s Amson Vaccines, Jamshed Alam and Adil Khan had filed references against Customs Collectorates, Islamabad. M/s Amson Vaccines had filed petition challenging customs department orders panelizing it for paying short-duty in head of different imported items.
Appellants, Jamshed Alam and Adil Khan, had made Customs Collectorate, Islamabad, respondent in their petitions challenging its decision before the tribunal. The customs collectorate had punished them under allegation of smuggling foreign currency, worth Rs 6 million.
M/s Win Pipe Industries and Muhammad Siddique had filed tax matters against Director-General Intelligence and Investigation, Islamabad.
