ISLAMABAD: Customs Appellate Tribunal Chairman, Justice (r) Manzoor Hussain has extended his stay at the tribunal’s headquarters in Islamabad till next Wednesday.
Due to a reasonable number of cases and the coming month of Ramazan, the chairman has decided to hold hearing of cases being listed at the tribunal.
During this visit, starting from present week, chairman was hearing cases of significant importance including cases involving DGI&I and Customs Collectorate Islamabad and Peshawar.
These cases included some complaints filed by Model Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad, United Trading Company, M/s Janjua Life Trust, M/s Smart Zone and M/s Venus Pakistan Private Limited.
He also heard cases of M/s Wahid Hamid, M/s Premier Formica Industries, M/s Ghani Glass Limited M Ishaq, M/s Fazal Razaq and M/s Fazalur Rehman.
It is pertinent to mention that while chairing the hearings, the chairman time and again remarked that verdict on cases would not be delayed and lawyers involved must pay heed to tribunal’s directives for bringing immediate relief to appellants.
