ISLAMABAD: A single bench of Customs Appellate Tribunal Bench-II on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of cases, challenging the decisions of the Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad.
A single bench of the Customs Appellate Tribunal comprising of Member Technical Muhammad Nasir Khan heard the cases which involved three tax matters and three cases about confiscated vehicles.
The bench adjourned hearing of three cases filed by M/s Amson Vaccines Private Limited and Muhammad Usmanul Haq till March 16, and the case filed by Zamanul Haq was relisted for hearing on Mach 17.
The appellant, Muhammad Usmanul Haq had filed appeal, 110/CU/IB/2015, against Customs, Islamabad praying the tribunal to help him imported vehicle (Toyota Crown) from customs department confiscation. Customs department had confiscated the vehicle for being non-duty paid item.
Zamanul Haq also had filed appeal, 115/CU/IB/2015, for regaining custody of his Toyota vehicle from customs, Islamabad. This vehicle was also confiscated by customs authorities as the due duty was not paid while importing. Another case, filed by M/s Indus Laboratory, had carried the similar matter seeking release of vehicle confiscated by customs department authorities.
Other three cases were filed by M/s Amson Vaccines Private Limited. The company made a submission before the tribunal seeking clearance of vaccines which yet were not allowed by the department.
