KARACHI: The Customs Adjudication has levied a penalty of Rs 0.6 million on Ghafran Textile Mills as the company is allegedly involved in tax evasion.
Sources told Customs Today that during audit the authorities observed that company availed unlawful benefits by availing Free Trade Agreement. The company avoid payment of Rs 60,12,345 by gaining undue concessions.
The sources said that company cleared 17 fabric consignments by using Free Trade Agreement. Customs Adjudication advised company to clear the outstanding dues at the earliest after imposing a fine of Rs 0.6 million on the company.
