FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication adjourned hearing of 47 seizure cases worth Rs 633.962 million during January 2018.
According to the details, Customs Adjudication Collector Asif Abbas Khan has adjourned hearing of 15 cases worth Rs 537.547 million pertaining to the seizures of various items. These cases were submitted by customs authorities. The collector directed the owners of seized goods and their counsel to present their arguments in next hearing.
Furthermore, Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad adjourned hearing of 36 cases worth Rs 81.204 million, while Deputy Collector Asma Hameed adjourned hearing of 36 cases involving Rs 15.211 million.
Most of the adjourned cases were detected and registered by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation while few cases were made by the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad.
The seizure cases pertaining to smuggled vehicles, mobile phones, base oil, tyres, tubes and auto parts were heard by the Customs Adjudication.
