ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate successfully surpassed revenue collection target of Rs 482.63 million in head of Sales tax (ST) over assigned target of Rs 423.00 million in month of December financial year (FY) 2016-17.
Collector MCC Dr. Arslan told Customs Today that Collectorate showed outstanding performance in the month of December 2016 in collecting revenue under head of ST and successfully achieved its assigned revenue target with an increase of 14%. The collected amount is Rs 59.63 million up than the assigned target of Rs 423.00 million.
He said that the Collectorate’s performance during the first half of FY 2016-17 was satisfactory and department is planning its strategies to achieve the target of 2nd half of FY 2016-17.
He added that the Collectorate will earn handsome revenue through auctions of confiscated goods and vehicles as for as ST, customs duty (CD), withholding taxes (WHT) and other departments.
