ISLAMABAD: The Customs Accompanied Baggage (AB) Section of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad earned Rs150000 more revenue than an assigned proportional Customs Duty for the first two weeks of December Fiscal Year 2017-18.
According to details given by Ali Asad, Assistant Collector AB, that the AB Section performed well during the first week of December Financial Year (FY) 2017-18. He added that, during the first two weeks of current month, the AB earned Rs1.11million against an allocated revenue target of Rs0.93million as CD. Asad said that, during the same period of corresponding December FY16-17, the AB generated Rs0.78million of CD.
He further said that the AB showed 46.29% average of achievement during the first two weeks against an earmarked revenue target for the month of December FY17-18 under the head of CD whereas the AB showed 120% average of growth against an assigned proportional revenue target.
He added that the AB received Rs90000 extra CD against an allocated proportional revenue collection target for the first week of December FY17-18. He added that the AB got Rs550000 against an earmarked proportional revenue target of Rs450000 as Customs Duty (CD).
Ali Asad further told CT that the AB has been assigned a revenue collection target of Rs2.40million under the head of CD for the month of December FY17-18. He notified that the AB received Rs420000 of revenue during the first week of previous December FY16-17.
He said the AB obtained 22.96% of growth during the first week under the head of CD against an allocated revenue target for the month of December FY17-18 while the AB showed 119% achievement against an earmarked proportional revenue target of CD for the first week of December.
Telling about the particulars for the month of November FY17-18, he said that the AB was assigned a revenue collection target of Rs2.00million as CD while it earned Rs2.528million. The AB generated Rs1.77million of CD during the same period of corresponding FY16-17, Asad told.
He told the correspondent that, during the month of November, the AB showed 126.40% average of achievement against an assigned CD for the month of November FY17-18. Ali Asad further added that, under the supervision of Saeed Khan Jadoon, Collector MCC Islamabad, the AB will not only achieve its allocated target of CD during the 2nd Quarter (October to December) but also surpass an earmarked CD for said period.
