Credit rating in Spain raised as economy grows

MADRID: Spain’s credit rating was raised one level at Fitch Ratings, which said the country’s “buoyant” economic growth has helped reduce the government’s general deficit. The level is the highest that the country has been set at since 2012, at the height of the economic crisis.

The Spanish economy is believed to have expanded by 0.4% in the last three months of 2017. Other credit agencies are expected to provide their national updates in the next few weeks.
