LAHORE: The Sessions Court has sent notice to customs prosecutor and their last witness on Monday (today) in heroin smuggling case against a Czech model who was arrested at Lahore airport while trying to smuggle nine kilograms of heroin. The Court has summoned the prosecutor with their witness that they requested to produce before the court.
On 17.11.2018, Additional Sessions Judge Ali Raza adjourned the hearing and directed the Customs officials and prosecutor Major ® Aftab Ahmad to present their witness on Monday otherwise court will decide at its own. On Saturday customs prosecutors was present in the court and requested to adjourn the case for Monday for recording statement of another official.
During hearing of the case lawyer of the model Asghar Mehmood Dogar said that Customs persecutor is responsible for late in verdict of the case. He argued before the court that due to delaying tactics of the customs the accused Treza is facing problems.
Earlier the court had recorded the statements of customs officials and others involved in helping the accused.
Earlier, the session court indicted the Czech model in the heroin smuggling case but Hluskova pleaded not guilty before the court.
Woman was arrested by customs after she managed to pass through the two checking counters of the ANF. The model, however, says she did not know how the drugs found their way into her bag as she visited Pakistan just for professional engagements.
