KARACHI: Chief Collector-Enforcement-South Muhammad Nazim Saleem on Friday discussed issues pertaining to the gold scam and its export on fake Form-E with the Model Custom Collector (MCC) Port Muhammad bin Qasim (Export) Agha Shahid Majeed.
Sources informed Customs Today that the Chief Collector-Enforcement-South Muhammad Nazim Saleem inquired about the current status and progress into gold scam case from the MCC Port Muhammad bin Qasim (Exports) Agha Shahid Majeed.
The sources informed this scribe that the MCC Port Muhammad bin Qasim-Exports briefed the chief collector-enforcement-South about the ongoing progress into gold scam case and said that the collectorate will register and book more unscrupulous elements, who used fake Form-E into the exports of gold during the period of the year 2012-13.
The sources further disclosed that the chief collector-enforcement-South emphasized on completing the ongoing investigation in upcoming days, adding that no room would be given to those unscrupulous elements, who involved into gold scam.
“Agha Shahid Majeed assured the chief collector that the Collectorate was making best possible efforts in order to book those elements, who were involved in exporting huge amount of gold to foreign countries on forged Form-E”, sources added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the MCC-Port Muhammad bin Qasim-Exports has already registered FIRs against three alleged exporters including B D Enterprises, Rubab Corporation and Saani Impex in recent days.
It may also be mentioned here that the MCC-Port Muhammad bin Qasim -Exports has taken the said legal actions on the findings and reports made by the authorities concerned of Directorate General of Internal Audit-Customs.
