LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Tuesday kick started five-day long Certification in Export Management’ program for the budding exporters enabling them to effectively move forward in the export sector.
Collector Customs Appraisement Jamil Nasir inaugurated the program while LCCI Vice President Faheem Seghal and others were also present on the occasion, besides a good number of participants from various walks of life participated.
The Collector Customs while addressing the participants said that in order to get maximum benefit out of something, one should be efficient enough to tackle the bottlenecks in the ways of professional duties. He urged the participants to avail the program in true sense equipping themselves with the knowledge about how to export goods and articles.
“Once you get good command over the subject none can exploit you including Customs officials and others in any ways,” he said offering the participants all-out support for them.
LCCI Vice President Faheem Sehgal said that in order to deal with the rising current account deficit the country needs to enhance its exports level to strike a balance between the aggravating balance of trade. “This is a good opportunity for you to understand the basics of exports and get excellence,” Faheem stated, adding that the Chamber has been working hard as to how Pakistan can enhance its exports and the programme is being conducted in line with the same objective.
He wished the participants of good luck with their program and urged them to thoroughly avail the rare opportunity.
