LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday took notice of increase in prices of essential items and directed Provincial Cabinet Committee on Price Control to take necessary steps immediately.
He said that all out steps should be taken for bringing prices of daily use items at appropriate level for the facility of the people. The Chief Minister said that Cabinet Committee on Price Control should review the prices of daily use commodities by paying visits to the markets and bazaars. Shehbaz Sharif said that people could not be left at the mercy of profiteers at any cost. He said that indiscriminate action should be taken against those creating artificial dearness. He also sought a report regarding increase in the prices of essential items.
