KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 71.92 points or 0.21 percent to reach 34538.45 points and volume of 255,712,480 shares on Tuesday.
The Karachi Stock exchange could not continue the bull-run caused by the a 100bps policy rate cut by the State Bank of Pakistan, as the benchmark KSE-100 Index lost in early trading on Tuesday lost 82.79 points or 0.24 percent to reach 34383.74.
The High and Low were 34626.87 and 34383.03 respectively while the total volume traded was 255,712,480.
A day earlier, the shares market welcomed as the move propelled the index into uncharted territory as KSE-100 Index had rose by 440 points or 1.29pc to close 34,467 points. Falling interest rate brought renewed interest in high dividend yielding and leveraged stocks.
The High and Low were 34551.88 and 34383.03 respectively while the traded in the market was 18,508,100.
