ISLAMABAD: The Chief Collector North and Collector MCC Islamabad visited the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI) on an invitation to interact with the members of chamber and clearing agents.
According to Chief Collector North Region Sarwat Tahira Habib, all the four north stations (Islamabad, Peshawar, Gilgit-Baltistan and Samberial) charge the same duties and taxes as the main objective of customs stations of North Region is to facilitate the bona fide trade with open policies where anyone can go for meeting with senior officials if any problem is not resolved at the earliest.
She told the federation that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is changing fast and the change is visible through trade facilitation and friendliness. She added that she visits on and off all the stations of the North Region to settle the matters relating to the business community.
Collector MCC Islamabad Dr. Arslan thanked the FPCCI for arranging this kind of event where traders can explain their issues to the customs officials. He remarked that traders are most important as collectorate can achieve its revenue target with their cooperation. He disclosed that the MCC Islamabad will establish a weighbridge at the Islamabad dry port as soon as possible as it is the urgent need of traders of the capital.
The executive members of the FPCCI, Assistant Collector Amant Khan, Additional Deputy Collector AFU Khawaja Khuram Naeem, Deputy Collector Shahid Jan and Collector Appeal Iram attended the meeting.
At the end, the chief collector and collector MCC Islamabad were presented a shied by the FPCCI.
