KARACHI: Chief Collector-Enforcement (South) Muhammad Nazim Saleem has left for Quetta on a three-day visit to the Quetta Model Customs Collectorate (MCC).
Sources informed Customs Today that Chief Collector Nazim Saleem would hold meetings with Quetta Collector Raja Zahoor and other officials.
They also said the anti-smuggling strategy would be the prime agenda of the meetings, adding that the performance of the officials would also be reviewed.
They added that Nazim has taken keen interest in the anti-smuggling steps being taken by the collectorates of the south region, including MCC-Preventive, Karachi; MCC-Gwadar and MCC-Quetta.
FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa and Member Customs Nisar Muhammad had also emphasised on evolving effective strategy to eliminate smuggling during their recent visits to Custom House-Karachi.
Chief Collector Nazim Saleem has already visited MCC-Gwadar and met the officials of the collectorate to review their performance and steps taken by the authorities concerned to eliminate smuggling.
