Today marks the last day on the job for acting U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner John Sanders.
Sanders announced in June that he would be stepping down without giving an exact reason for his resignation.
Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Mark Morgan is expected to replace Sanders.
Morgan has been an advocate in the past for President Donald Trump’s border wall.
Sanders’ resignation came amid rising numbers of migrants being apprehended at the border and the national conversation over the treatment of children and families in immigration holding facilities.
Sinclair correspondent Lara Logan asked Morgan how he plans to address several issues happening at the border. You can watch the sit-down interview here.
