ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority Development has okayed six projectsworth Rs 1,114.212 million (over Rs1.11 billion) for the capitalcity.
The projects were approved during the 38th meeting of CDA’s DWP, which was presided over by CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal. CDA board members, senior officers of Planning and Development Division, Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) and senior officers of the authority including director general works, director planning and evaluation were also present on the occasion.
PC-1 worth Rs 571.857 million was approved for the “Dualization of Atta Turk (West) from Khayaban-e-Suharwardy to Khayaban-e-Margalla”.
During the meeting, CDA-DWP also approved the PC-1 of Rs 430.00 million for the construction of second carriageway from roundabout of service road (west) sector G10 of Khaban-e-Iqbal.
PC-1 for the construction of approach road from gate no three of Prime Minister Office to helipad of President House has also been approved. All the administrative buildings and interlink roads in the area have already been completed except the said road.
The meeting also approved PC-1 worth Rs 39.214 million for project of construction of road from Supreme Court Bar Association building to Constitution Avenue.
This project has been envisaged to facilitate the officials as well as visitors leading to several located in sector G5/2 particularly Supreme Bar Association of Pakistan and COMSTECH.
The CDA-DWP meeting also approved PC-1 worth Rs 10.834 million of one tube well in sector G7/2 and PC-1 worth of Rs 11.658 million, one tube well in new Blue Area G8 and F8. These projects upon completion will augment and help improve supply of water with existing system in the said areas.
